This month, Choose Joy Nursing is celebrating five years of serving families during one of the most transformative seasons of life: welcoming a new baby.
What began as a dream to provide compassionate, professional postpartum support has grown into a trusted resource for families across Nashville and beyond. As we reflect on the last five years, we're filled with gratitude for every family who has invited us into their homes, trusted us with their babies, and allowed us to be part of their parenting journey.
How Choose Joy Nursing Began
Choose Joy Nursing was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to bridge the gap between hospital discharge and the six-week postpartum checkup.
After working with new moms and babies in the Mother Baby unit, our founder, Lauren, saw firsthand how much support families needed once they returned home. While hospitals provide incredible care during those first few days, many parents are left navigating feedings, sleep deprivation, recovery, and countless questions without ongoing support.
Choose Joy Nursing was created to change that.
Our goal has always been to provide families with expert, in-home support while helping mothers feel seen, cared for, and supported throughout the fourth trimester.
Five Years of Caring for Families
Over the past five years, we've had the privilege of serving hundreds of families through:
Overnight newborn care
Live-in postpartum support
Sleep consultations and sleep training
Lactation support
Baby preparation classes
Infant sleep education
Travel nursing services
Post-surgical care
Fourth trimester support and education
We've spent countless nights rocking babies back to sleep, helping exhausted parents get the rest they desperately need, answering questions, celebrating milestones, and providing reassurance during the moments that matter most.
Every family has a unique story, and it is an honor we never take lightly to be invited into those stories.
More Than Baby Care
While caring for babies is a large part of what we do, supporting mothers has always been at the heart of Choose Joy Nursing.
New mothers are often focused on caring for everyone else while neglecting their own needs.
We believe moms deserve support, too.
That's why our approach goes beyond infant care. We strive to help mothers navigate recovery, prioritize rest, protect their mental and emotional well-being, and find more joy in the early days of parenthood.
When moms are supported, families thrive.
Looking Ahead
As we enter our sixth year, we're excited about what lies ahead.
This year brings exciting milestones, including expansion into Dallas and moving into our very own office space - both dreams that once felt far away and now are becoming reality.
While our growth is exciting, our mission remains unchanged: to provide exceptional care, meaningful support, and trusted guidance to families during the postpartum period.
Grateful for God's Faithfulness
If there's one theme that defines the last five years, it's gratitude.
Through every season of growth, challenge, uncertainty, and celebration, we've witnessed God's faithfulness. Time and time again, doors have opened in ways we could never have orchestrated ourselves. Opportunities have appeared at exactly the right time. The right people have joined our team. The right families have found us.
We know none of this has happened by accident.
Looking back, we're humbled by how far Choose Joy Nursing has come and grateful for every family who has been part of the journey.
Thank You for Five Incredible Years
To every parent who trusted us, every baby we had the privilege of caring for, every team member who has served with excellence, and every person who has supported our mission - thank you.
Five years is a milestone worth celebrating, but we believe the best is still ahead.
We look forward to continuing to serve growing families, support mothers, and bring more joy to the postpartum journey for years to come.
